WAACKING 7-TO-SMOKE BATTLE
• Format: Pre-lims are 1v1 style and the chosen top 8 will be in the 7-to-smoke bracket | Open to all!
1v1 WAACKING BBs
• New to waacking (less than 6 months of training) and first battle ever? This is the category for you! Just come through and live your life. Note: This is for folks who have never participated in any battle any style before!
• Format: No breaks in this category, we will do it all at once from pre-lims to finals. This format will be similar to ballroom style where you come out and get your 10s and then we have you go 1v1 against someone (one at a time rather than at the same time). Format inspired by Kumari Suraj aka Kumama!
* Note: Waacking is not apart of ballroom culture
1v1 OPENSTYLES BATTLE (w/ a prop)
• Prop batteru!!! The MC will pick a card before every round and each card will have a photo of a prop that you must dance to. Note that you don't need to center your dance around that prop. Still dance, but incorporate the prop into your dance a little..or a lot. Have fun with this! Note: One of the cards will be "CHOOSE YOUR OWN PROP" where you can bring your own or choose from our selection...to be announced!
• Format: Pre-lims are 1v1 style and we will pick top 8 right after

- jump rope
- chair
- bring your own in case you get a choose your own prop!
BEST WORST DANCER
• Inspired by House Dance Festival in the Bay Area, this category is all about being the best at your worst, and loving yourself regardless.
• Format: 3-5 people go in at a time and live their lives. Whoever is the most hilarious will be the victor in that round. After pre-lims, right away, you will have a faceoff between all the victors from each round...all at the same time. Standing out is good.
